Vermicelli/Semiya Kesari

Semiya Kesari is one of my mom`s favorite Kesari.I used to make this one specially for my mom. Its a simple dish with very less ingredients and tastes yummy.Moreover having rava kesari all the time is a boring one. So I normally make this one and aval kesari(Recipe soon) to make it an intresting one. 





Ingredients
Vermicelli-1 Cup
Sugar-1/4 cup
Ghee-as per requirement
Cashew nut-5 nos
Elachi powder-1 tsp
Water-as required
Orange color-a pinch

Pictorial
Fry cashewnuts and raisin in ghee and keep it aside (optional)
Now in the same pan add 2-3 tsp of ghee and fry the vermicelli for a min.
Now pour water into the pan(just to immerse the vermicelli) and cook it in a medium flame till the vermicelli get cooked.
Now add elachi powder and food color to it.close it with a lid and cook it in a low flame for 5 min

Now add sugar and the fried nuts and cook for another 2 min.


Yummy delicious Vermicelli kesari is ready to taste.
